Gov Wamakko wins senatorial seat in Sokoto

The present Governor of Sokoto state, Aliyu Wamakko, of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the senatorial seat for Sokoto North Senatorial zone.

He scored 225,642 to defeat the present senator representing the zone on the platform of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ahmed Maccido .
